PROGRAM OBJECTIVES: The participant will engage in an open discussion on issues that relate to HIV/AIDS and quality of life. Participants will learn about the new Department of Health and Human Services, DHHS, HIV treatment guidelines to treat HIV and related complications. Participants will gain an understanding of quality of life, its value in the healthcare process and the role of the RD.

Presentation Description:
Join us for a more informal approach to learning about HIV/ AIDS and quality of life related issues. Our presenter, Edward Goldberg, MD has vast experience with the HIV-positive community and will address participant questions in this open forum. The speaker will discuss medications for the treatment of the virus and associated conditions, gastrointestinal issues, treating the patient as a whole and the importance of quality of life. He will also discuss successful strategies for treatment adherence. Send your questions in advance- e-mail Irene Ng at panelopie777@yahoo.com by March 6th, 2010. Cost of registration for this program includes the lecture, handouts and a light dinner. Register using PayPal or mail in form below.

GNYDA/IDN DPG member: $35
GNYDA non-member (includes annual membership fee): $70
Student member of GNYDA/IDN DPG (must include copy of student ID): $25
Student non-member of GNYDA (must include copy of student ID): $35

Registered Dietitians (RD’s) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTR’s) can receive a maximum of (2) continuing professional education units (CPEUs) for completion of the conference.

Registrations must be postmarked by March 6th, 2010.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Written cancellations post-marked by March 6th, 2010 will be honored in full less a $15.00 processing fee. NO refunds will be possible if written request is not post-marked by March 6th, 2010.
